Florianópolis celebrates its 351st anniversary on March 23.
The musical and artistic programs are free of charge, and this year the Cultural Marathon celebrates its 10th anniversary, bringing 379 events spread across 15 neighborhoods. Among the confirmed attractions are singers Pitty and Maria Rita, and bands Pato Fu, Dos à Deux, Boogarins, and Dazaranha.
The program also includes theater performances, carnival blocks, art exhibitions, guided tours, dance shows, documentary screenings, Santa Catarina music video showcases, roundtable discussions, and artistic interventions.
In addition, another special event planned for Florianópolis' anniversary is Popó's fight with Santa Catarina businessman Guilherme Grillo. The four-time world boxing champion will step into the ring to fight the Santa Catarina native on March 23 at Stage Music Park in northern Florianópolis.
