How to get to Florianópolis?
Florianópolis is approximately 460 km from Porto Alegre, 300 km from Curitiba, and 700 km from São Paulo. Florianópolis International Airport, or Floripa Airport, is located in the south of the island, about 19 km from the center and the LK Design Hotel. By road, access to Florianópolis is via the BR-101 highway and then via the Expressway, on the BR-282, to the neighboring municipality of São José. The Expressway ends at the Pedro Ivo Campos Bridge, which connects the mainland to the island, less than 10 minutes from the LK Design Hotel.
The main roads in the city are Avenida Beira-Mar Norte, where the LK Design Hotel is located; Rod. José Carlos Daux (SC-401), which connects the center to the north of the island; Rod. When to hold an event in Florianópolis?
December, January, and February are the hottest months and the peak tourist season in Florianópolis.

March and April are the ideal months for practicing “bleisure”: coming to Florianópolis on business and still enjoying the tourist attractions that the city has to offer.
With the end of summer and school vacations, Floripa enters its low season and becomes less crowded and more affordable. This period marks the beginning of fall: it is not yet so cold that you cannot go to the beach, and there is also less chance of rain.
It is a good time for trade shows and conventions, where planning and launching trends and closing deals for the coming year take place.
Winter in Florianópolis runs from June to August: the maximum temperature is around 20°C and there is little rain. A special feature of this season is that, starting in July, it is possible to observe right whales, which come to the southern coast of Santa Catarina to give birth to their calves and can be seen in the south of the island.
And from September to November, during spring, the island experiences its rainy season.

For a night out in Florianópolis, I suggest heading to the Lagoa da Conceição area in the east of the island, about 24 minutes from the LK Design Hotel. With a variety of restaurants and bars offering live music for all tastes, it's a great option for post-event happy hour.
4 – Beaches on the east side of the island: Joaquina and Mole.
We recommend that all participants set aside at least one day before or after the event to experience the best of Florianópolis: its beautiful beaches! Joaquina and Mole beaches are located on the east side of the island, about 30 minutes from the LK Design Hotel, and are famous for their great surfing waves.
5 – North of the Island: Jurerê and Canasvieiras.
For those who can set aside more time to enjoy Florianópolis before or after the event, I recommend tours in the northern part of the island, about 25 minutes from the LK Design Hotel.
