The unique architecture of the façade, with its emphasis on the window frames, was developed by Mittmann Arquitetura by Methafora Arquitetos. Utilizing the permeability of the numerous glass panels, it invites those outside to experience and those inside to explore a new perspective of the city - screens in constant movement. The common areas and apartments were designed by prominent figures in the field, such as architect Roberto Migotto, who aimed for a modern, sophisticated, and cosmopolitan design, with the primary intention of making the spaces comfortable and welcoming, giving guests the feeling of an extension of their homes. The pure architectural lines, combined with the sensations created by Daniel Nunes’ landscaping, elevate the hotel with exuberant plant species, creating a visual unity between the spaces with a minimalist aesthetic effect and a contemporary visual impact. In addition, furniture and design pieces by the award-winning designer from Santa Catarina, Jader Almeida, are featured throughout the hotel, emphasizing sophistication over opulence and attention to detail over ostentation, combining a shared pursuit of excellence and authenticity, offering the best of their savoir-faire in homage to beauty with functionality.

History
The idea of entering the hotel business was already a long-standing dream of businessman Walter Osli Koerich, who, coming from a family with a strong entrepreneurial tradition since 1955, focused mainly on the construction industry, found in the union between vision and perseverance the way to make this project a reality.
In 1976, with this purpose in mind, he managed to acquire and gather the land on the most charming corner of Florianópolis. Like every visionary, he waited for his dream to mature so that it could be born at the right time. After more than 40 years, in December 2020, the LK Design Hotel opened its doors.
“The LK Design Hotel is a gift from the family to ourselves and to the city. It was built with taste and artistry in every detail,” says Walter Koerich.
The hotel's name is named after his wife, Linda Koerich, who impeccably represents the excellence we seek at the hotel: the union of delicacy and strength that only women have. Linda Koerich is a matriarch of 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and has an overflowing kindness and disposition that are evident in her various social actions. Dona Linda, as she is affectionately called, is one of those human beings who leave a trail of light wherever she goes. Her innate elegance, mixed with an unparalleled friendliness, make her one of the most beloved personalities on the island.
